Dixie Group utilized new technology to develop DuraSilk™, a unique P.E.T. continuous filament fiber system that provides a silky, super-soft hand, resistance to crushing, fuzzing, pilling, soil and stains.
A proprietary extrusion process enables the combining of individual fibers, which maximizes resistance to crushing. DuraSilk™ products must pass a certification test conducted by an independent lab – a 5,000 traffic walk test – to qualify for DuraSilk ™ branding.
The benefits continue in DuraSilk™’s superb stain and soil resistance due to a unique application of soil protecting agents; the dye treatment encapsulates fiber, as opposed to being treated topically. DuraSilk™ contains only continuous filament fiber, which minimizes pilling and fuzzing while maximizing performance.
