CALHOUN, GA.—Its products may help reduce sound, but
Foam Products Corp. (FPC) will be making a bunch of noise at Surfaces 2009 showcasing its new environmentally friendly cushions.
Jim Wink, national sales and business development, said the maker of the popular Silencer underlayment will use Surfaces as the launching pad for Eco-Silencer, its newest acoustical underlayment for laminate, engineered and hardwood flooring. It is also suitable for radiant heat flooring systems.
Eco-Silencer has the same properties as its predecessor, except that it is made with 30% to 40% recycled granulated rubber tire crumbs. In addition, it contains Ultra-Fresh, an antimicrobial treatment which resists mold, mildew and bacteria. “Go green,” Wink proclaimed, “and also generate the building standard LEED credits.”
He added FPC will be showcasing all its products at Surfaces, including Silencer HD acoustical underlayment for glue down, nail down and floating floors; Silencer SR acoustical underlayment with moisture barrier for floating floors; Dynathane carpet cushion for hospitality and commercial double glue installations, and Extraordinair carpet cushion for the residential market.
