SAUSALITO, CALIF—Trainingspace has released the latest version of its online learning management system (LMS), Trainingspace 2008. This new release provides “increased flexibility, customization and ease of use,” said Jay Flynn, vice president of sales and marketing.

Trainingspace is a DCS Partnership Group company, which has teamed with the World Floor Covering Association on a number of initiatives such as Creating Your Space (CYS). Training space currently has over 2,500 licensed trainees taking courses in product knowledge, customer service, business skills, sales skills and more.

The new LMS allows users to customize the platform to their business, creating their own “(Business Name Here) Online University.” The first company to take advantage of this improvement is Shaw Industries, with the release of Shaw HF University.

In addition, Flynn said the new structure enables easier integration of outside courses into Trainingspace’s platform, which is for training in one consistent manner. The third fundamental improvement is a design change that allows for easier navigation within and between courses.
