LISLE, ILL.—The Chicago Floorcovering Association (CFA) will host its annual Presidential Ball and awards night on Dec. 13 at the Hyatt here.

This year’s event will feature numerous awards, including the 2008 CFA Person of the Year, Retailer of the Year, and Wholesale Salesperson of the Year in soft and hard surfaces. In some categories the organization will award first and second place runner-up honors.

Jack Conway, who currently works for Chicago’s Show Carpet, will be honored as the Person of the Year. A past president of CFA, Conway has been in the industry for more than 40 years and involved with the association since the ’70s. In 1986, he was the recipient of CFA’s Salesman of the year.

Rick Koshgarian of Franklin Associates will be awarded the Wholesale Salesperson of the Year in soft surfaces, while Robert Bangiorno of All Tile will be recognized in the hard surface area. The Retailer of the Year for 2008 is going to Midwest Floor Covering of Tinley Park, Ill.

A commemorative book is planned with proceeds going to CFA’s Scholarship Fund.
