Mohawk Announces Increases For Ceramic, Laminate

DALTON (August 14, 2008)— Mohawk Industries will raise prices on ceramic and laminate products in September. The increase will be effective on all orders shipped on or after September 8, 2008.
Ceramic prices will increase 4-10%, while laminate prices will rise 5%. A letter announcing the price increases has been sent to Mohawk dealers.

“Our increase reflects higher prices for raw materials, transportation, and energy,” said Bob Leahy, Senior Vice President, Hard Surfaces.
