Robert Smith

LATICRETE, a global leader in the manufacturing of innovative systems for the installation of ceramic tile and stone, has appointed industry veteran Robert Smith to the position of Regional Sales Manager, North Carolina. In his new position, Smith will oversee the LATICRETE sales efforts in the entire state of North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama, working to build and maintain distribution partnerships and increase LATICRETE sales in his territory. Smith is a third generation tile contractor and has over 10 years of combined experience in tile distribution and sales.

Smith graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution, before starting his career in the tile business as a residential sales representative for Daltile in the Coastal South Carolina region. Smith then served as “Territory Manager” for the Southeast with Schluter Systems, where he gave AIA presentations, performed contractor demonstrations, set up and maintained distribution channels for the commercial and residential market. Smith comes to LATICRETE from American Olean in Charlotte, NC, where he managed all aspects of the business, including commercial sales, human resources, budgeting, inventory, vendor relations, freight management and safety training.
