EUFAULA AL, June 24, 2008—The fish in the 45,000-acre Lake Eufaula aren’t the only things jumpin’ in this Alabama town of 13,350 about 90-miles east of Montgomery. The
Beaulieu of America carpet yarn plant is jumpin’, too – for more help. Terry Harper, Plant Manager announced the addition of an extra shift of spinners, twisters and cablers to its already 450 associates here.
That means one of the town’s biggest employers is getting a little bigger, thanks to increased demand for Beaulieu’s products, like the new Bliss by Beaulieu™ introduced this year. Hiring begins immediately. The yarn plant is a veritable local institution, built over 40-years ago as part of Columbus Mills and was acquired by Beaulieu in 1998.
Beaulieu of America is the third largest carpet manufacturer in the world, employing
over 6,000 people in 30 facilities.
