The Applied Coatings Group, a leading manufacturer of decorative glass products utilizing dichroic thin film technology, showcased its 12” x 24” designer-friendly glass panels from its Modono Collection at the HD Expo in Las Vegas on May 14-16.

The Applied Coatings Group held its initial launch at Coverings 2008 and is poised to continue to grow as awareness of one of the tile industry’s most innovative new products begins to take hold. At the HD Expo at the Sands Convention Center, ACG displayed the versatility of its Modono Glass Tile Collection by creating a 6’ x 3’ glass panel display that drew hundreds of architects, designers, corporate and hospitality specifiers to its booth. Utilizing ACG’s ability to manage color and light with dichroic thin-film technology, the large format glass panels can be installed like traditional tile or mounted in an architectural system. The Modono Glass Tile Collection is available in several different patterns and colors, and offered in sizes ranging from 2” x 2” to 12” x 24”.

“It was a fantastic show,” said Scott Stertmeyer, national sales manager for ACG’s Modono Collection and its new Color Mirage Glass Blocks. “We were in the new product pavilion and designers were very interested in the Modono glass panels we set up. We had great leads. We had representatives from some of the most successful hospitality corporations in the country come by our booth. We met with a large amount of casino operators, and all of the Top 50 design companies in the country were there, several of which came by to see our products. It was a great show.”
