GREENVILLE, S.C.—ProSpec and Tyco Thermal Controls have partnered to bring the Raychem QuickNet Electric Heated Floor System to market. Made up of a low-profile, 3mm heating mat and programmable thermostat, the system can maintain floor temperatures up to 85 degrees Fahrenheit and features a built-in ground fault circuit interpreter for safety.
The heating mat consists of impact-resistant heating cable on an adhesive-backed fiberglass mesh, allowing for simple rollout installation. And, the thermostat includes a floor temperature sensor that automatically switches the system on or off. “Heated floor systems are one of the most overlooked items in remodeling or new construction.
These systems, which were once primarily for high-end construction, offer tremendous value for all homeowners, creating a more comfortable space, reducing energy consumption and delivering cost savings,” said Kevin McFadden, vice president, construction products.
QuickNet is a 120-volt system available in 10-, 20-, 30-, 40- and 50-square-foot sizes. All mats are 20 inches wide, and each comes with a thermostat. QuickNet is compatible with all standard subfloors.
