Dean Marcarelli

Manchester, N.H.—Dean Marcarelli has returned to CCA Global Partners to fill the newly created position of chief marketing officer as part of a larger restructuring and repositioning of the company.

Howard Brodsky, chairman and CEO, noted this restructuring is part of a larger effort that includes adding divisions and is designed to help the company “aggressively take market share and maximize executive leadership talent. The addition of new divisions and strategically altering the roles of key management within the CCA family will allow executives to think creatively and with fresh perspectives to achieve the goal of acquiring more market share in the upcoming years.”

Sandy Mishkin, CCA’s president, added, “We are positioning to be more aggressive and reactive to the changes and dynamics of the market. These moves allow us to reinvent ourselves and keep our status as leaders across the industry.”

Leading this re-organization is the return of Marcarelli, who at one time was co-COO of CCA’s Carpet One Floor & Home division. He also had served as president of CCA’s Stone Mountain’s Flooring Outlet, GCO Flooring Outlet and The Floor Trader divisions during his initial tenure. While away, he was the chief marketing officer for Levitz Furniture and Stephen’s Advertising Agency.

In his new role, he oversees all marketing and sales management strategies for CCA Global. Marcarelli will be based out of CCA’s office here.

Jim Gould, who had held the position of chief product officer, has left the company to launch an independent industry consulting business, with CCA as his first client.

Moving on up

His successor, Charlie Dilks, begins a string of management promotions as part of CCA’s restructuring.

Dilks was most recently COO of Carpet One Floor & Home and president of Carpet One Floor & Home Canada. In his new position he will oversee the product development and delivery processes for CCA’s entire floor covering divisions.

“This is a fitting tribute to Charlie’s long service to the company,” Mishkin said. “He is a seasoned executive, and his new role will allow him to apply his many years of experience and knowledge in a way that will benefit the entire company.”

Eric Demaree, president of Stone Mountain/GCO/The Floor Trader, will be relocating from CCA’s St. Louis office to its Manchester, N.H., branch as he has been promoted to fill Dilks’ old post of COO for Carpet One Floor & Home. Demaree will now be responsible for the strategic planning of the daily operations of Carpet One.

Mike Cherico. will assume Demaree’s duties while continuing his role as president of CCA’s Lighting One division.

“Cherico’s leadership has helped Lighting One become the nation’s largest independent group of specialty lighting stores,” Brodsky said.” Those same leadership skills will enable him to position the outlet division as America’s premiere flooring outlets.”

In addition, Tony Greco has been promoted to senior vice president of the division.

Eric Bernstein has been promoted to the new position of COO for the ProSource Wholesale Floorcovering division. He was most recently CCA’s vice president of national programs.

Mishkin said Bernstein’s skills “will support ProSource in its goal of becoming the No. 1 supplier of wholesale floor covering to trade professionals.”

Finally, Bill Wissler, CCA’s director of national programs, was promoted to Bernstein’s former position. In his new role Wissler will be responsible for overseeing all of CCA’s national programs.
