Atlanta— CCA Global Partners will hold its 5th annual FCIF Golf Tournament Thursday, Sept. 20, with proceeds going to the non-profit Floor Covering Industry Foundation. It will take place at the Evergreen Marriot Resort in Stone Mountain, Ga., located less than one hour from Atlanta.

Since the first tournament in September 2003, the event has raised more than $500,000 for FCIF, a philanthropic organization dedicated to financially assisting people who are or have been affiliated with the floor covering industry who experience catastrophic illnesses, severe disabilities or other life-altering hardships. These efforts are accomplished with compassion, confidentiality and preservation of dignity for the individuals concerned.

Last year’s CCA-FCIF golf tournament reached a new milestone, raising $155,000 for the cause, bringing the four-year total to over a half million dollars.

Organizers are hopeful the industry will once again step up and show its caring side by breaking last year’s record. Alan Greenberg, CCA’s co-CEO and co-chairman, said, “Before each annual tournament we set a new donation goal, and, thanks to the support of our friends and colleagues in the flooring industry, we are certain we will reach our goal again this year.”

Howard Brodsky, CCA’s co-CEO and co-chairman, added, “Alan and I really appreciate everyone’s participation and support for the FCIF, and we hope to continue this tradition for years to come.”

Since being founded by a concerned group of industry personnel 26 years ago, FCIF has distributed more than $2.5 million in grants. Beneficiaries include flooring retailers, installers, retail salespeople, distributor personnel, mill employees and industry executives.
