Orlando, Fla.—Gary Dooner of Du All Service Contractors in Minneapolis was elected president of the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) during the group’s 62nd Annual Convention & Exhibition here. He succeeds Brian Spiegel of Spiegel Certified Restoration of Montclair, Calif., who will serve as immediate past president.
Du All Service has been involved in the restoration industry for 40 years, providing 24-hour response to fire, smoke and water damaged residential, commercial and industrial structures and their contents. Active in the industry for 25 years, Dooner holds the unique distinction of being one of the first 100 RIA
Certified Restorer Designees. He is also a recipient of the Martin L. King award, which recognizes outstanding service to the restoration industry.
In addition to Dooner, the following slate of officers were elected: Ben Yanker of Buffalo Restoration in Bozeman, Mont., vice president; Ron Reese of Ree Construction in Hailey, Idaho, treasurer, and Graham Dick of Genesis Restorations in Surrey, British Columbia, secretary. Also serving on the board are Michael Griggs of Disaster Restoration in Denver; Bill Lakin of Chem-Dry in the United Kingdom, and Jeff Jones of Sani-Sheen System of Oklahoma City, Okla.
