CHICAGO, January 25, 2006 – Italian stone and tile manufacturer GranitiFiandre will debut four new GeoDesign Projects at the 2007 Surfaces Show, to be held February 7-9 in Las Vegas. GeoDesign Projects 10, 11, 12, and 13 will be on display at GranitiFiandre’s booth (#5978), along with the company’s comprehensive array of surfacing products.

The newest of GranitiFiandre’s 13 GeoDesign projects are innovative in two distinct ways: product design and material composition. The contemporary designs are created through the application of advanced waterjet cutting and mosaic technologies and are composed of NewGround materials, which have a soft, dappled appearance and smooth, honed finish.

The projects tout the following unique attributes:
• Project 10 exhibits a vibrant variation of lines and contrasting hues that impart a sense of movement to floor and wall coverings;
• Project 11 offers a mysterious play of light and shadow animated by a unique mix of geometric designs;
• Project 12 uses a sandblasting process to create two contemporary tone-on-tone pattern options on the surface of the material; and
• Project 13 boasts an original, geometric design inspired by the optical patterns of the 1970s.

“Our GeoDesign collection delivers design-forward solutions for walls and floors, offering the commercial and residential consumer a truly unique look without the high cost of custom waterjet cutting,” said Jeanne Nichols, vice president—sales and marketing for GranitiFiandre in the United States. “The American architect and design communities have already responded enthusiastically to GeoDesign Projects 1 - 9, as evidenced by several product awards and ever-increasing sales, and we are confident that Projects 10 – 13 will garner the same results and fuel continued interest in the American market.”

Color availability includes combinations of White Ground, Silver Ground, Beige Ground, Grey Ground, Brown Ground, Amaranth Ground, and Anthracite Ground.

Each mosaic is pre-mounted on a 12"x 12" format. Coordinating solid color tiles in 24"x 24," 24"x 12," 24"x 6," 24"x 4," 24" x 1," and 12"x 12" formats, along with coordinating bullnose and steptread, are also available.

GeoDesign Projects 10 - 13 are the latest addition to GranitiFiandre’s prestigious porcelain surfacing lines. In addition to launching these innovative products, the company will also debut the Platinum and New Co.de collections at Surfaces, which will specifically address the American market’s diverse architecture and design needs.
