JOHNSON CITY, TENN.—Showcase Plus is the new display from Mullican that holds 78 flooring samples, almost double the company’s previous unit that accommodated 40 samples.

The mill has also launched the Muirfield Collection, its firstever four-sided, micro-beveled wood product.

Showcase Plus contains 54 SKUs of Mullican’s prefinished solid and engineered flooring, and it features add-on sections on each side that can handle 12 samples each. These add-on sections include Mullican’s 10 new exotic species, available in random widths of unfinished 3/4- in. hardwood, and the company’s new line of prefinished engineered flooring, the Frontier Collection. The latter consists of two categories: machine- distressed and wirebrushed flooring. Available in 5- in. widths, the Frontier Collection contains 14 species and color combinations.

“Mullican has introduced several products in recent months, and this new display reflects our company’s tremendous growth,” said Brian Greenwell, Mullican’s vice president of sales and marketing.

“Our new Showcase Plus display allows us to present our award-winning products in a spectacular fashion.”

Other additions include:

• The Foothills line of 5/16- in. prefinished engineered flooring was nearly doubled with five new exotic species and colors available in 3- and 5-in. widths.
• Ridgecrest, Mullican’s 1/2- in. prefinished engineered selection, was expanded to 15 products with the addition of four exotic species, each available in 5-in. widths.
• Chalmette, the company’s 1/2-in. hand-sculpted engineered flooring, goes from four to six colors and species, each available in 5-in. widths.

In other news, Mullican debuted the Muirfield Collection, its first-ever four-sided, micro-beveled product.

Company officials say they are targeting the builder market with this product available in 2-1/4- and 3- in. widths of oak saddle, red oak natural, oak stirrup, oak merlot, maple natural and maple cappucino.

“We have been looking forward to offering this quality product to our dedicated customers,” Greenwell said. “It features a bevel on each end to hide any overwood associated with an uneven subfloor. As a result, this floorcovering is always attractive to the builder market.”

The Muirfield Collection is protected by Mullican’s Alpha A’lumina Real World Finish, an aluminum oxide finish featuring a subtle satin look. Alpha A’lumina is backed by a 25-year finish wearthrough warranty.
