Dalton—The National Institute of Certified Floor Covering Inspectors will host the seventh annual Inspector’s Convention and Educational Symposium at the Northwest Georgia Trade & Convention Center here from Oct. 4 to 6.

NICFI is a group which was created by and for inspectors, explained Richard Snow, certified flooring inspector and chairman of the board for the organization. “NICFI was organized for the purpose of furthering education and opening new avenues for business to inspectors.

“The necessity of the organization,” added Snow, “is evidenced by the fact that if about 50 inspectors a year were to get certified, only about 10 survive the first year. The rest fall off because of a lack of business savvy.
“This convention is being held for the purpose of education in all flooring surfaces as well as products such as adhesives and sealers.”
