Miami, Fla.—Vernon Harrison has been promoted to president of Walton Wholesale. He replaces Ed Walton who will remain as CEO.

Harrison will continue on the path taken by Ed Walton Jr., founder of the distributor, noted Walton. “I felt that Vernon had the ability to give the company the proper guidance for the upcoming future.”

Harrison joined the company in 1988 as a sales rep. From there he went on to sales manager and, most recently, general manager. His duties as general manager will be absorbed into the business.

Walton Wholesale, which covers south Florida, carries such brands as Mannington, and Armstrong hardwood.
