Like most of your readers, every issue of Floor Covering News gets my immediate and full attention. That’s because I recall with warm memories the wonderful industry you and I served in the ’70s and ’80s.
Even though I moved on to other fields before retiring three years ago, I’ve never stopped thinking of the fine readers and advertisers we knew who quickly became our good friends.
When I picked up your issue (
FCNews, April 3/10), I smiled broadly upon seeing the “Remember When…” photo on your editorial page. Gosh, we were young then! I know you’ll agree that the two men pictured with us were typical of the fine people in the floor covering industry.
I remember my pleasant visits with John Chandler and his family at their home. And big and friendly Jack Love always had some news for us when we met at the many conventions and trade shows we all attended. People like that are never forgotten.
No wonder you continue serving the flooring covering industry so well and conscientiously. Continued good luck and regards to all.

former publisher of Floor Covering Weekly
