Peter LePage, Michael Rienke
Alexandria, Va.— Michael Reinke has been promoted to senior vice president of Commercial Carpets of America (CCA). His promotion coincides with the retirement of Dave Stafford ( FCNews, May 1/8). In addition, Peter LePage will replace Reinke as manager of CCA’s Government Group.

For the last 13 years, Reinke has worked in various areas of the company’s operations including retail sales, commercial sales and as vice president and manager of its Government Group. In his new role, Reinke will oversee both the Commercial and Government groups.

“Mike’s experience in all areas of CCA’s operations will pave the way for continued success in both groups,” said Stafford. “He has earned this promotion through hard work and is due the recognition that comes from doing a great job.”

In his new position, LePage will report directly to Reinke and will be responsible for the coordination of CCA’s three GSA contracts which feature Patcraft Carpet, Forbo Linoleum and Nora Rubber, as well as its Air Force Non-Appropriated Funds (AFNAF).

CCA’s federal contracts include a wide variety of carpet, carpet tile and resilient flooring as well as complete, certified installation, noted Reinke. “Peter has demonstrated his value to us over the last 18 months as our senior government market specialist, and I have no doubt he will continue that success by helping us master the challenges we have in this business segment,” he added.

LePage is a 20-year floor covering industry veteran who comes to CCA from Interface.

In other news, CCA has become the first flooring contractor in the U.S. and Canada to get certified by Wilsonart to install its Contact Laminate Flooring, according to Malcom Sykes, Wilsonart’s product manager for Southern Tile Distributors in Norfolk, Va.

Specialized classroom training, hands-on training and testing specific to commercial work took place at CCA’s headquarters here. The sessions, which were designed by Wilsonart’s technical department and taught by its Northeast technical service rep, Stan Glogowski, placed an emphisis on larger scale projects including layout, commercial moldings and use of the right power tools to perform high quality installation. Phase two of CCA’s certification will take place during an actual client installation.

Not Enough

“It is not enough to make a great product because proper installation will determine a floor’s long term performance,” said Glogowski. “Having our Contact commercial line installed by a Wilsonart certified installer will guarantee the overall quality of the project.”

“Our becoming a Wilsonart certified contractor is an integral part of our commitment to promote the product and was made possible by the unique partnership between Southern Tile, CCA and Wilsonart,” concluded Ralph Grove, vice president of CCA’s Commerical Group.
