This photo was taken in the E.T. Barwick Mills showroom during the Atlanta summer market in 1978. It seems this foursome was engaged in serious conversation, but they were merely trying to decide where to have dinner—an important topic during markets. Shown, from left, are: John Chandler of the Vol T. Blacknall Co, a Barwick distributor; Al Wahnon, editor; Jack Love, vice president of Barwick, and Howard Reed, publisher. That was 28 years ago and Chandler, Love and Reed have since retired.
