Kaplan to its Board of Directors. Kaplan has served as a director, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Trex Company since January 2008 and became Chairman of the Board in May 2010. Trex is the world’s largest manufacturer of high-performance wood-alternative decking and railing products with annual sales in excess of $340 million. Kaplan retired as CEO of Trex in 2015, but remains the Chairman. He also serves on the Board of Caesarstone, a NASDAQ listed company that manufactures and sells engineered stone surfaces. “We’re constantly working to build a board that is comprised of a variety of people from different industries with diverse perspectives,” said Arthur Dodge, III, CEO and President of Ecore. “We’re excited for Ron to join our ranks, because of his experience in expanding market share, achieving operational excellence, developing a best-in-class product portfolio, implementing best supply chain best practices, and creating an international brand.“ Kaplan holds a BA in Economics from Alfred University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Trex, Kaplan served as Chief Executive Officer of Continental Global Group, Inc., a manufacturer of mining equipment. He also spent 26 years in senior positions with Harsco Corporation, an international industrial services and products company, where he oversaw the development and construction of several plants around the world and successfully closed and integrated several acquisitions.
