Lynchburg, VA, Oct. 4—Lumber Liquidators of Colonial Heights, Virginia has purchased  Burruss’ Lynchburg, Virginia mill from bankruptcy. The facility, which employed over 300 people before it was shut down in October of 2000, made house and truck flooring. Lumber Liquidators will initially use it to manufacture house flooring which it will sell under its Mill Direct Brand direct to contractors and homeowners through its 21 warehouses around the country. The truck flooring division will resume operation in the beginning of 2002.

The plant manager of the Lynchburg facility is Fred Burton, formerly of Burruss. His wife Linda will manage the new on site Lumber Liquidators Store, which will also sell the Huskycoat brand of pre-finished flooring the company manufactures in Colonial Heights, Virginia.
