| Article | BALTIMORE, MD. February 9, 2015 – Fishman Flooring Solutions has named Shane Richmond its Regional Manager for the Carolinas. In his new role, he is responsible for day-to-day oversight of six territory business managers, seven branch locations and Fishman’s Carolinas staff. He was previously District Manager for South Carolina, overseeing the firm’s Charleston, Columbia and Greenville locations. Richmond replaces Bill Mabeus, who will focus full time on his role as Vice President of Sales, with responsibility for the firm’s sales force, selecting new vendors and products and product integration. “Developing leaders for our business is one of the most important things we do at Fishman,” says Bob Wagner, Fishman president and CEO, “because, as our business continues to grow, we need talented and experienced people at the helm who understand our culture and the emphasis we place on delighting the customer. Shane Richmond has been very successful in every sales and management role he has had to date at Fishman and we have every confidence that his success will continue in his new position and in any future roles he may have with our company.” Richmond, a 24-year veteran of the flooring industry, joined Fishman in 1997 as Assistant Manager of the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina location. One year later, he began his sales career as the outside sales representative for Eastern North Carolina. In 1999, he was given responsibility for developing sales in the Charleston, South Carolina region in conjunction with Fishman opening its branch there. Based on his success in that role, he was named Territory Business Manager for the Charlotte branch in 2000, a position he held for 13 years, when he became District Manager for South Carolina. Richmond and his wife, Michelle, have two grown daughters and reside in Tega Cay, South Carolina. Fishman Flooring Solutions, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is the “Solutions Provider” distributor of flooring installation products. It has approximately 150 employees and 28 branches serving Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The firm distributes more than 36,000 products for 75 vendor partners. |
