Danville, VA, Oct. 3—Columbia Flooring has made changes in the management structure of its sales and marketing team, according to company president David Wootton. Steve Bunch, formerly of Alloc, has joined Columbia as director of business development. In this capacity, Bunch will oversee marketing strategies and collateral development, and will assume responsibility for building Columbia's business in various marketing channels, including retail cooperatives and commercial opportunities. While at Alloc, Bunch held the position of vice president of sales and marketing. Before that he held managerial positions at Anderson Hardwood Floors, Hartco Wood Flooring and Armstrong.

Columbia's director of sales, John Patterson, will spearhead the company's new sales and distributor programs, which will be a major focus for the coming year. "We will be spending a great deal of time and energy on special programs for our distributors, and John's expertise in this area will help us reach our goals," Wootton said. "His long standing, established relationships with distributors are of great value to us and provide a competitive advantage as we grow in the marketplace."
