Article Solignano, 21 January 2014 - Since joining ABK Group in 2007, the ceramic company Flaviker has embarked on a process of reorganisation and rebranding, culminating in 2014 in the launch of a new logo and name and the shedding of the Pi.sa brand name. This important step forward was formalised on 16 January at the first meeting of the company's sales force under the new name Flaviker Contemporary Eco Ceramics.

"The Flaviker name highlights the brand's specialisation in the porcelain segment and reflects its history as a pioneer and focal point for technical floor covering products," noted Flaviker's brand director Alessandro Fabbri. "By combining today's technological innovation with meticulous stylistic research, it offers an excellent range of cutting-edge Italian-made solutions."

The current Flaviker range is based on continuous exploration of the world of contemporary surfaces. It includes an increasingly vast array of sizes and finishes while delivering the outstanding performance for which ceramic products are renowned in both indoor and outdoor applications. These products fully meet the needs of the most demanding consumers as well as architects and designers. The new Flaviker catalogue focuses on clear, effective product presentation, adopting innovative visual solutions such as the use of carpets of ceramic tiles in place of photos of single products to show off the aesthetic qualities of the new collections.

This new approach does full justice to the outstanding characteristics of Dakota, a series of contemporary ceramic tiles officially launched by Flaviker at the first meeting. This wood effect porcelain tile has a rustic flavour enhanced by a timeworn look and the natural imperfections of wood, displaying a wealth of detail that would be impossible to appreciate from a picture of a single tile.

However, the clearest indication of the changes under way within the company is the green heart of the new Flaviker brand, an approach to ceramic tile production that is in keeping with today's focus on environmental sustainability. "While reaffirming its product target, Flaviker is also launching a new green mission with the aim of becoming increasingly recognised as a leading company in the field of eco-sustainability," explained Fabbri.

The gradual conversion of the production facilities in Solignano and Finale Emilia that began in 2008 and the use of the "I Love Green" logo on all communication tools reflect the company's efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its manufacturing processes to below the sector average. Since 2013 Flaviker's main ceramic tile collections have qualified for significant LEED credits (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) due to the fact that the ceramic body contains 40% recycled materials as certified by Bureau Veritas. They therefore make an active contribution to sustainable building.
