| Article | Vancouver, Wash.— Jan. 9, 2014— The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) will kick off the New Year in style with an event to celebrate the opening of its new Global Resource Center in Las Vegas on Jan. 27, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Open to anyone in the industry, including IICRC shareholder organizations, Memorandum of Understanding partners, Certified Firms, instructors and registrants, the event will be an opportunity to tour the new property and connect with other industry leaders. Located at 4043 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, 89119, the event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an open house and networking reception with light hors d’oeuvres. Coinciding with the IICRC’s January Board Meeting and the Surfaces Trade Show, several IICRC Board Members will be in attendance. To register for the event, please visit iicrc.org/rsvp2014. “After 10 years of discussion and planning, we are excited to finally see the Global Resource Center come to fruition,” said Tony Wheelwright, IICRC Chairman. “The building is ideal for our growing needs and we look forward to hosting our industry partners and sharing a glimpse of our exciting plans to come.” With the goal of enhancing the educational resources and outreach efforts of the Institute, the new facility will serve as an activity hub for those looking to learn and share their industry expertise. IICRC registrants, shareholders, industry leaders, regional associations and Certified Firms can also use this facility as a meeting place. Purchased in July, the 20,000 sq. ft. property will offer a number of other potential uses including video production, training, storage and documenting the history of the industry with a library or museum, among others.
