| Article | Pasadena, Calif.—Floor Covering Soft will be launching its newly designed floor estimating software—FloorEstimator Pro 5—and its Web companion at Surfaces. The computer program was created to aid flooring retailers, installers and contractors. New features added to the software include flexible seam editing, built-in tile patterned layout and support for digitizer takeoff, and it is still the easiest-to-use measuring and estimating tool on the market, noted Dr. Steven Wang, president of Floor Covering Soft. “Easy-to-use is the key to our success,” he said. FloorEstimator Pro 5 empowers users to access flooring diagrams and estimates online whether they are in the office, at a job site or at home. It can also automatically transfer estimates to QuickBooks. “QuickBooks is used by 85% of flooring dealers in the U.S., which makes it unique from other software packages,” concluded Wang. “Because of this, it increases estimating and bidding efficiencies.” The program will be offered at a special show price for new customers and a discounted upgrade for current users.
