A next generation, high-performance uncoupling membrane for use under porcelain tile, ceramic tile and stone installations for both commercial and residential projects, STRATA MAT has been specifically engineered to replace traditional underlayment materials. It will debut at Coverings 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia, April 29th - May 2nd at the Georgia World Congress Center. "It offers so many benefits to the contractor, including an incredibly strong mechanical bond between the mat and thin-set mortar. Additionally, it helps accelerate the mortar's curing time, as it is constructed so that moisture within the mortar will quickly dissipate allowing for faster time to grout.” Boyle also described how the new product is offered in a larger width than found with other uncoupling membranes, its 45" wide format lets the contractor cover floors faster with less seams.
