| Article | LAS VEGAS, April 3, 2013… Angelia Singleton has been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Retail Relations for GIFT+HOME at Las Vegas Market, effective immediately. She will report directly to James Nail, International Market Center’s Vice President, Gift Marketing. Gift+Home at the Las Vegas Market runs July 29-August 2, 2013, at the World Market Center Las Vegas. As Director of Retail Relations, Singleton’s responsibilities will include outreach to key buyer groups, as well as identification of key retailers for outreach and invitation to market. Additionally, Singleton will oversee all activities of World Market Center Las Vegas’ call center – which will expand to include 15 full-time and four supporting staff members – to contact an anticipated 40,000 gift and home retailers west of the Mississippi prior to the summer 2013 market. “IMC is fully-committed to increasing buyer attendance at GIFT+HOME at Las Vegas Market, and this new role is an important component of the expansion of our existing Retail Relations and Very Important Buyer (VIB) program,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “I have worked with Angelia for many years and have complete confidence in her abilities not only to increase traffic, but also to develop new initiatives that will bring top quality gift and home buyers to Las Vegas.” Singleton’s nearly 15 years in the tradeshow industry includes work with both GLM and MMPI. For the last three-and-a-half years, she has served as Director of Operations for MMPI, where she was responsible for planning and overseeing all functions required to execute 20-plus trade shows and marketing events. From 1999 through 2009, Singleton was employed by GLM, initially as Buyer Relations Manager / Customer Service Director, and later Show Director, for the California Gift Show. Singleton holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing, from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, from Emory University.
