Article St. Louis, Mo.—Eric Demaree has been appointed president of the retail flooring outlet division for CCA Global Partners. He will be responsible for overseeing CCA’s Floor Trader, GCO Flooring Outlet and Stone Mountain Flooring Outlet locations. Demaree will be based at the company’s St. Louis office and will report to David Kraeling, senior vice president of its franchise businesses and president of ProSource.

He brings 29 years of experience in the flooring and home furnishings industry to the company, noted Alan Greenberg, co-chairman and co-CEO of CCA Global Partners. “Eric has an extensive and impressive background in the retail flooring industry,” said Greenberg. “I’m confident he will be able to significantly grow our outlet division as well as bring new ideas and strategies to our team.”

Most recently, Demaree was vice president of merchandising for the floor and wall division at The Home Depot. In his 11 years there, he also served as vice president of merchandising for its Expo Design Centers. Prior to that he served as vice president of Royalty Carpet Mills and Tuftex Carpet Mills. He began his career at Armstrong after graduating from college.

Scott Wheeler has been named vice president of merchandising for CCA’s Carpet One division. He joins the buying group from Avalon Carpet, Tile & Flooring where he served as executive vice president. In his new position, Wheeler will be responsible for overseeing Carpet One’s product merchandising department. He will be based in St. Louis and will report directly to Charlie Dilks, COO of Carpet One and president of Carpet One Canada.

“Scott’s knowledge and experience will allow us to continue to provide innovative merchandising and product to Carpet One members and their customers,” explained Dilks. Prior to Avalon, Wheeler served as president and vice president of Flooring America Franchise division which was later acquired by CCA Global Partners. He has also worked for Mohawk Industries as a territory manager and at the retail level at Sandler & Worth.
