| Article | Dover Rug & Home offering the largest selection of fine floor coverings and window treatments in New England is pleased to announce they have been selected as the purveyors of rugs and carpets to the Fredrick Law Olmsted Museum in Brookline, MA. Dover was chosen from a very competitive field of contenders. The Frederick Law Olmsted Museum is registered as a National Historic site in Massachusetts. Frederick Law Olmsted is most notably known as the founder of American landscape architecture and the nation's foremost park-maker. When Olmsted moved his home to suburban Boston in 1883, he established the world's first full-scale professional office for landscape design. He created major urban parks and his firm set the standard for hospital and institutional grounds, campuses, zoos, railway stations, parkways, private estates, and residential subdivisions across the country. His influence is evident throughout New England. "It was a very competitive process and I am honored Dover Rug & Home was selected to work with The Fredrick Law Olmsted National Park," says owner of Dover Rug & Home, Mahmud Jafri. "We are looking forward to providing the site with an array rugs and carpets from our unique collection."
