| Article | (Dallas, Texas) SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas exhibit space sales are off to a strong start with the Space Draw date more than two weeks away. In fact, many contracts for space for next year’s show came rolling in while the 2011 show was still in progress. “We secured more than 60 contracts for space for next year’s show while in the midst of this year’s show,” said Amie Gilmore, Show Manager, SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. “Our sales team did a fantastic job of talking with their customers and getting their commitments for next year, putting us in a great position for 2012.” These 60 contracts, accounting for 25% of the total square feet sold for 2011, include contracts from Artistic Finishes, Becklers Carpet, Earthwerks, Emser Tile, Laticrete, Mapei, MC Machinery and many others. Both shows offered their exhibitors incentives for signing up for space early by offering additional priority points for space assignment, discounts on meeting room space, hotels and catering to offset some of the costs associated with exhibiting. A raffle was held after the show to select the winner of the incentive package and Dinoflex Group LP came out as the winner. “Since SURFACES is one of the largest shows where DINOFLEX Group LP exhibits, we were quite excited to win the draw for the rooms and catering at Mandalay Bay, said Terry MacLeod, CEO, DINOFLEX Group LP. “While DINOFLEX is a small company in essence, our distributors and agents are worldwide and having won this draw allows us to offer the opportunity to encourage our business partners to attend the show. We are very appreciative of Hanley Wood and Mandalay Bay for the generous prize and plan to use it effectively!” SURFACES and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2012 will be held January 24-26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV. Exhibits will be open Tuesday –Thursday and the Education Program opens Monday, January 23 and goes through Thursday.
