Article (Dallas, Texas) With only two months left, SURFACES 2011 is gearing up to be an exciting show! SURFACES, the floor covering industry’s largest and most important event, is almost 98% sold out and on pace to be larger than 2010’s event! With more than 500 manufacturers signed up to exhibit, SURFACES is already exceeding the number of exhibiting companies signed up at this time last year by 13%!

In addition to the large number of companies supporting SURFACES 2011, like Armstrong, Beaulieu, Custom Building Products, Dal-Tile, Emser Tile, Johnsonite, Mannington, MAPEI, Quick-Step, Tarkett Residential and Wear-Dated, new exhibitors are signing up at a record pace! To date, over 125 new exhibitors have committed (and more to come). Some of the companies new to SURFACES 2011 are Décor Presented by APCOR, Earth Weave Carpet Mills, Marme Canada, N Cubed/Sonite, Nissan, Pravada Floors, RoomsAlive, Stevens Omni, and TP Brands International.

Attendees will not only see the new lines their current suppliers are showing, but they will see a multitude of new products and services that have never been offered before. “We are very pleased to be able to offer attendees SO MANY new options this year,” says Dana Teague, Group Director, SURFACES. “With consumers demanding more CHOICES these days, retailers who attend SURFACES will be able to keep up with that demand and distinguish themselves from their competition!”

In addition to the new companies, there are many, many companies returning to SURFACES after a year or more absence from the show. Just to name a few: Atlas/Creative Carpet Mills, Award Hardwood, Catalina Carpet Mills, Colonial Craft, Cryntel Enterprises, EcoTimber, Expressive Designs, Gulistan, Joy Carpets, Kronotex/Formica, Lonesome Oak Trading, Marble World, Momeni, National Hardwood Flooring & Moulding, Panaget, Prazi USA, Provenza Floors, QEP, Southland Tile Tool, Springtree Flooring, Stair-Hold, Superior Building Art, Synthetic Grass Warehouse, Taylor Lumber, Tile Redi, Vicwood Industry and Vintage Hardwood Flooring.

Even with two months to go, attendees are getting excited and ready for the show! SURFACES registration is tracking almost 20% above last year at this time and almost 10,000 more hotel room nights have been sold than at this time last year. Free conference registration has definitely been a success with several classes already sold-out and over 1,000 people signed up for the Opening General Session. The 2011 General Session will feature Aron Ralston. Ralston is the inspiration for the film 127 Hours, by award winning director, Danny Boyle who directed Slumdog Millionaire.

Along with more exhibitors, a bigger show and an exciting and cutting-edge conference program, 2011 attendees will also experience new show features like the Trends Hub. This centrally located attraction which will provide attendees an inspiring location to rest, visit and network surrounded by products showcasing the hottest emerging trends for 2011! Other show floor features like the S2 Main Stage, StoneLive, the Restoration pavilion and many other product and international pavilions will be bigger and better than previous years! Along with all of the exciting features SURFACES has to offer, attendees will also have complimentary access to two other events that week – the Las Vegas Market and StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Las Vegas Market.

The official sponsor of SURFACES is the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA), the floor covering industry's largest advocacy organization representing floor covering retailers, contractors and allied service providers throughout North America.

The WFCA is a recognized leader in marketing research, industry certification programs, and operates the premier consumer flooring web site, www.wfca.org, providing unbiased information about every type of floor covering and connecting customers to members’ retail stores.
