In June 1987, during NeoCon 19 in Chicago, DuPont presented its design awards and Shaw Industries was a winner. Accepting the award was Bob Shaw, center, president and CEO of Shaw Industries. Tom McAndrews, left, director of DuPont’s Carpet Fibers Division, made the presentation; Ernie Lareau, second left, group marketing manager, commercial, for DuPont, was the master of ceremony at the banquet and did a superlative job; Bob Spahn of Shaw, second right, looked on, as did DuPont’s Ben McInyczuk.
