| Article | ST. LOUIS—The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) is now offering an Accepted Product Seal program to help its manufacturer members earn recognition with consumers for products meeting industry performance standards. NWFA’s Accepted Product Seal will help consumers identify wood flooring products that meet established standards for performance within the industry, noted Ed Korczak, executive director and CEO. “Standards are determined for six unique product categories, each with its own testing requirements and performance criteria. All evaluations are conducted by third-party testing facilities with specific ASTM/ANSI testing requirements.” The six categories that will be evaluated are abrasives, adhesives, engineered wood, fasteners, finishes/stains/sealers and underlayment. “Participation in this program is voluntarily,” he concluded.
