NEW YORK—During its recent 26th annual awards luncheon at the Water Club here, the Greater New York Floor Coverers Industry Promotional Fund announced this year’s recipients of the Francis J.P. McHale Scholarship Awards. For the first time in the program’s history, the organization’s trustees awarded two more graduates scholarships, meaning four recipients each receive $3,500 annually for classes. Pictured from left are the winners: Philip Luppino, who will be attending Pepperdine University in the fall; Christian Sherland, The Cooper Union; David Meberg, president, Greater New York Floor Coverers Assn.; Jessica Henricksen, Brooklyn College; Stephen Richardson, Francis J.P. McHale Scholarship co-honoree and vice president of National Interiors, and Rebekah Dietrich, Mercer County Community College. The four winners are the 55th, 56th, 57th and 58th recipients of the award, which has now given out a total of just under $600,000 in scholarship funds since being established.
