Article NEW YORK—Soaring 42 stories above Lower Manhattan’s 75 Wall Street is being called the modern-day gateway to the city’s famed Financial District. Wherever a resident or visitor walks on carpet or an area rug, they will have Nourison to thank, as it was the exclusive provider of soft flooring for the entire building.

The once office building was recently transformed into condominium residences and a luxury hotel— Hyatt’s Andaz, its luxury lifestyle brand. Consisting of 350 condominiums and 250 hotel suites, their lobbies, public spaces, restaurants and bars, 75 Wall Street is the largest residential and multi-use project of its kind south of Canal Street in New York City. The condominium apartments comprise the upper 24 floors while the hotel occupies the lower portion of the building.

Nourison’s Hospitality division coordinated with the the award-winning architectural design firm The Rockwell Group to create approximately 10,000 square feet of uniquely styled broadloom and rugs for the project.

Jonathan Peykar, Nourison’s vice president of broadloom, said all products were produced in Nourison’s fully vertical manufacturing facilities. He noted more than a dozen designs were used.
