| Article | June 08, 2010 (Raleigh, N.C., USA) – Pergo, the inventor and leading manufacturer of laminate flooring, announced that it entered into a license agreement with Mannington Mills, Inc. on May 15, 2010. This agreement grants Mannington access to Pergo and Classen's patents covering fold-down joints for flooring – specifically allowing Mannington to sell products utilizing any of Välinge’s embodiments of Pergo’s PerfectFold™ technology, including those marketed as “5G”, “5G+” and “5G-S.” “This agreement resolves any disputes between the parties with respect to Pergo's PerfectFold™ fold-down technology and permits Mannington to manufacture and sell its Longwood Collection and other products which are covered by both Pergo’s PerfectFold™ patents and other Classen patents,” says Ralf Eisermann, CEO of Pergo AG. “We believe this cooperation will be beneficial for Pergo and Mannington, as it allows Mannington to sell products utilizing Välinge’s 5G joint systems without risk of infringing patents of Classen and Pergo."
