| Article | SALT LAKE CITY—QFloors’ quest to provide a flooring software system that is easy-to-use while allowing users to gain more control of their overall business operations and add to their profitability take another step forward with the release of Version 5.1, which will be demonstrated at the company’s booth (G2444) during Surfaces, Feb. 2 to 4 in the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. Chad Ogden, QFloors’ CEO, said the company’s latest upgrade to its flagship product is more than a “cosmetic change. It takes users to places they never thought possible—on the road with the QFloors Mobile function.” Mobile gives users the ability to operate the QFloors system via a smart-phone such as i-Phone, BlackBerry and Android. “This is a really cool feature that owners, managers and salespeople will find extremely useful and helpful in allowing them to expand the way they do business,” Ogden said. In today’s hectic world, he explained, there are many instances when a user is not in the store. “With Mobile, you can not only see what’s going on back at the office, you can perform most basic features and functions, meaning you can actually make a sale and schedule the installation without ever setting foot in the store.” Mobile works via remote desktops such as GoToMyPC or through some social media networks like LinkedIn. Ogden said it uses the same familiar QFloors screens, most of which are formatted to fit entirely on the phone’s screen. “Basically the user can do all the things he would normally do when helping a customer or finalizing a sale. QFloors Mobile is built right into Version 5.1 so it is open for our entire customer base to use.” While a part of the new software, QFloors Mobile is a subscription-based feature that needs to be activated before being functional. The monthly rate is $50 for high performance customers and $25 for small businesses. As a special bonus, dealers who sign up during Surfaces will get two free months. Along with Mobile, Version 5.1 features Quick Estimate and Document Manager. Quick Estimate is, simply put, a quick and easy specialized calculator for the flooring industry that can handle both hard and soft surface measurements. And it can be used on a smart-phone via QFloors Mobile. Document Manager allows a QFloors user to attach any type of document to the invoice, so everything related to that job can be connected on one file. Ogden said that, unlike Quick Estimator, it is not yet available through QFloors Mobile. One more feature in the new program is the ability to take and move different screens in and out and size it the way you want. There are also additional search functions built into Version 5.1. “The new 5.1,” Ogden said, “will help a retailer broaden his business opportunities and make his staff more professional. QFloors Mobile frees retailers and their salespeople from being tied to their store and gives them quicker, easier access to the information they need. In addition, it will really impress the customer because you’ll be doing things that up until now could only be done on a computer.” QFloors Version 5.1 is priced the same as the previous version—$5,900 for small businesses and $9,400 for high performance users. The company is offering a special 1-year interest free promotion with in-house financing for just $2,500 down.
