Good friend Tom Fischel, the industry’s greatest after-dinner speaker and executive with Badische Corp. and later with BASF, stirred up some fond memories with this photo. He sent the picture with the notation that it was taken in the fall of 1981 at the Dalton Country Club during the company’s annual pro-am golf tournament. This photo was taken after a day of golf and before the awards dinner. Shown here, from left, are Roger Zoccolillo, Badische/BASF executive; Fischel; George Plimpton, New York aristocrat and literary journalist who was the guest speaker of the evening; Hans Kopper, president of Badische, and Al Wahnon.
