| Article | Greenville, S.C., November 22, 2009 – 828 International is pleased to announce that Candy Droege Shuler is now handling sales in North and South Carolina in addition to her responsibilities as a national accounts representative. Shuler joined 828 in March and describes her new position as a mixture of various duties. “Basically, what I’m doing for 828 is building relationships – all while boosting sales. No two days are same; one day I’m calling on customers across the country, making sure they have the appropriate information about our products, the next I’m hosting a get-together for area interior designers in our Greenville showroom. And now, I’m looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues I’ve known for years in North and South Carolina.” With more than 30 years in the wholesale and home furnishings business, Shuler pulls from her vast talents and understanding of those in the business. She’s an associate member of the Interior Design Society and has represented various rug and accessory companies. “It seems everywhere I’ve been and everything I’ve done has prepared me for what I’m doing now – working one-on-one with customers and designers,” she says. Shuler earned her B.A. degree in art with an area of concentration in color and design from Columbia College, and she just finished her tenure as president of the alumni association. She ?and her husband, Farley, have a daughter, two sons, six grandchildren and ?enjoy gardening and entertaining. “In the amount of time she’s been here, it’s been amazing what we’ve learned about our customers,” says John Shepherd, president of 828 International. “Her presence has helped us understand just how much our clients depend on companies like us, and I think Candy has already more than proven the value of her role with 828.” Shuler is also in charge of the Greenville showroom, which is open to the trade by appointment.
