| Article | GLEN ELLYN, ILL.—The Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA) has started a mentoring program to help new members and first timers get the most out of the organization’s annual Management Conference this year, Nov. 4 to 7 in Tucson, Ariz. All new members and first-time attendees will be matched up with a mentor prior to the conference. CTDA will help facilitate communication between the two prior to the conference. For this program to be successful, the association is seeking people to sign up as a mentor. Anyone who is attending the upcoming conference and has attended at least four CTDA events over the past five years is eligible to be a mentor. CTDA officials said mentors will have four primary responsibilities: • Contact the new member/first-time attendee prior to the conference to introduce yourself and determine what the person hopes to get out of being involved in CTDA. • Provide suggestions and personal testimony on the best ways to make CTDA work for you. • Be available for questions prior to the conference via email/phone. • Introduce the new member/first-timer at the opening reception on Nov. 5. New members/first-timers are under no obligation to have a mentor. Anyone not wishing to participate in the program should email erins@ctdahome.org.
