| Article | ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J.—LG Floors brings its Impression collection of large-format homogeneous tile flooring to the commercial marketplace. Produced with advanced technology, Impression offers design solutions for a myriad of commercial interiors including education, healthcare and retail. The line offers a cutting edge palette of 31 high-energy colors and an oversized 18-inch format. Because of that, design possibilities are limited only to one’s imagination, noted LG’s Michelle Rhee. “From a performance standpoint,” she explained, “Impression is ideal for areas with heavy traffic and rolling loads, including school environments with heavy desks and other equipment. The large format vinyl enhanced tile (VET) from the Impression line offers much greater resilience and has superior indentation resistance compared to vinyl composition tiles (VCT).” In fact, with a higher vinyl content Impression has twice the PSI indentation resistance as traditional VCTs, she noted. “In addition, Impression tiles are easier to maintain, and offer an improved lifecycle for high-traffic commercial applications. Depending on traffic levels and desired appearance, applying a finish to the Impression line may not be required. The product is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality by SCS Labs.
