Article PALM SPRINGS, CALIF.—At its recent 64th Annual Convention and Exhibition here, the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) elected Jeff Jones of Sani- Sheen System in Oklahoma City, Okla., president. He is a second-generation rug specialist and restorer who grew up in the industry.

Jones was instrumental in reinvigorating RIA’s National Institute of Rug Cleaning division several years ago when he served as council chairman, noted Patricia Harman, the group’s director of communications, and has shared his knowledge with RIA members for many years.

In addition to Jones, RIA members also voted in the following officers for the current 2009 term: Frank Headen of First Restoration Services in Charlotte, N.C., will serve as vice president. Leo Volkert of Primo Clean Restora-tive Services in Lodi, Calif., is treasurer, and Wade Miller of Mitigation Services in Brentwood, Tenn., will take over as secretary.
