Article CHICAGO, January 29, 2008 – Italian stone and tile manufacturer GranitiFiandre recently launched their contemporary Xtra Collection to the US Market. This new category of porcelains conceived by Italian designer Silvia Stanzani includes the elegant hues and geometric shapes of Xtra Color Shape.

Xtra Color Shape features square, circle, and triangular shapes cut directly into beautiful porcelain slabs, creating environments characterized by a modern color palette and bold, modular design elements.

“This delightful collection has solid tile options, as well as one- and two-hole geometric tile options that allow for composition flexibility.” said Jeanne Nichols, vice president—sales and marketing for GranitiFiandre in the United States. “Minimalist beauty, contemporary style, and an element of fun—Xtra Color Shape brings all three to its environment.”

Xtra Color Shape’s hues include: Ice, String, Wisteria, Anthracite, String, Dove, Mud, and Lake Red.

Sizing options include:

• solid tiles in 24 x 24 and 24 x 12 inch formats

• one- and two-hole geometric tiles in 24 x 24 inch formats

• coordinating geometric shapes in 6 x 6 inch square and 6 inch circle and triangle formats

Xtra Ordinary, Xtra Color Leaf, and Xtra Fine are also part of the Xtra Collection. Xtra is one of GranitiFiandre’s five prestigious porcelain categories that also includes GeoStyle, Geologica, GeoTecnica, and Granitech offering a total of over 300 styles/colors of porcelain tile.
