| Article | DALTON—Times may be slow, but it hasn’t stopped companies from innovating. Recognizing the growing demand for ecofriendly products, BASF has launched Styrofan NX 4628, a styrene-butadiene latex for carpet backing adhesives and pre-coats to enable greater use of recycled materials. “Carpet makers are looking to include more recycled content into their adhesive compounds,” said Barry Fowler, carpet technical manager for BASF in North America. “Styrofan NX 4628 is a more robust latex that allows the proper dispersion and stabilization all of the ingredients.” For more information about BASF or Styrofan NX 4628, email Templeton at bert.templeton@basf.com. |
