| Article | CHICAGO, December 15, 2008 – Chicago-based Trans Ceramica, a GranitiFiandre Company, has selected Eugenio Megna to manage their Chicago sales team as they initiate a renewed retail business development plan for the midwest. “We are fortunate to have Megna with his successful distribution and retail experience join our company during a time of renewed focus on our midwest retail business development,” said Jeanne Nichols, vice president—sales and marketing for GranitiFiandre in the U.S. “We believe the interest and demand for our innovative, sustainable products throughout the midwest has been largely untapped and the timing is right for this initiative.” As Chicago sales manager, Megna will manage the existing Chicago sales team, consisting of three territory managers, and will spearhead the company’s dealer programs throughout the Midwest. Megna brings significant experience to his new position having previously worked for four years as the branch manager for Chicago-based Richetti Group, where his primary focus was distribution and retail development. “Guarding the high quality reputation of GranitiFiandre is my utmost consideration as I create targets and establish ambitions with my new team,” said Megna. “In the short term, I want to jumpstart the sales indicators and increase the numbers. In the one-year range, I plan to install a strong focus on retailers and account development. Over the five-year range, I want to strengthen the current team with additions to the sales staff directed toward the Chicago effort,” said Megna regarding goals and objectives for his new position. The current Chicago-area sales team includes territory managers David Daniels, Sean Murphy, and Anita Pralija. GranitiFiandre is experiencing sustained growth and increased market share in the U.S., especially within the commercial market segment where many projects are already funded and in the works for the remainder of 2008 and into 2009. GranitiFiandre’s U.S. staff totals nearly 35 and includes two executive managers, a key account director, a national account manager, 2 distribution managers, 12 regional/territory managers, and 4 special project managers that work in conjunction with 34 independent American distributors and 3 direct distribution territories.
