| Article | CALHOUN, GA.— RizTex USA, producer of Rizzy Rugs and its sister division, HomeTexco has merged the operations into one business unit known as Rizzy, and will produce products under the Rizzy Rugs/Rizzy Home brands. According to vice president of sales, Mark Ferullo, “We are confident that this move will simplify our business for our customers. Since we began with a domestic F.O.B. point for rugs and textiles, we’ve seen several of our competitors jump into the other arenas to offer furniture dealers a larger assortment of goods. Both the Rizzy Rugs and HomeTexco lines were originally designed to work together; nobody does that better than we do.” He added, establishing the two new brands and placing them under the Rizzy umbrella “enables us to continue to offer the best pricing across the board as a result of the economies of scale that we’ll save with streamlined operations. It is our intention to pass that on to our customers, and we hope they will pass it all the way to the consumer, which will result in greater gains for all of us.” For the present time, the company will maintain its two separate showrooms in Atlanta, one on the third floor of AmericasMart I—the rug floor—and one on the tenth floor with other accessory and textile exhibitors.
