Article KIDDERMINSTER, UK—Andrew Walker has been selected to replace Michael Brinton as chairman of woven carpet manufacturer Brintons.

Walker has been a non-executive director of Brintons since 2006 and brings extensive experience in global manufacturing operations to his new post, including group chief executive for McKechnie, which has 34 businesses worldwide; South Wales Electricity, and managing director of John Crane Polymer Engineering, which operates 20 facilities in Europe, UK and North America.

“We have every confidence in Andrew’s ability to guide and support the executive board in the implementation of the substantial investment plans for the further development of the company over the next few years,” said Michael Brinton, who will continue to serve the 235-year-old family-owned business as a nonexecutive director and honorary president.
