Article | CARY, N.C.—The Lord Corp. has sold its resilient floor coatings business to AkzoNobel for an undisclosed amount. The resilient floor coatings business primarily serves industrial manufacturers of polymeric and wood flooring and includes the trade name Photoglaze UV-Cure Coatings and associated Chemglaze Seam Sealers product line in the U.S., Europe and China. Completion of the transaction is expected by the end of the month, subject to regulatory approval. With headquarters here and sales in excess of $700 million, Lord is a privately held company that designs, manufactures and markets devices and systems to manage mechanical motion and control noise and vibration; formulates, produces and sells general purpose and specialty adhesives and coatings, and develops products and systems utilizing magnetically responsive technologies.
