| Article | BALTIMORE, MD, September 22, 2008 – L. Fishman & Son, Inc., headquartered in Baltimore, announced today that it has completed an agreement with Clark Continental, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, to purchase the assets and business of its Clark Flooring Solutions Division. Clark has five branches in western Pennsylvania, Ohio and Northern West Virginia. Both firms specialize in distributing leading brands of commercial flooring, flooring accessories (e.g. edgings, wall base, stair treads, corner guards, chair rail, etc.), adhesives, ceramic setting materials, sub floor prep, water proofing system, cushion, floor protection film, supplies, tools and education on maintenance. “The addition of Clark Flooring Solutions will complement our existing business growth strategy and will give us an immediate foothold in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia market place,” said Bob Wagner, President of Fishman. “Clark’s reputation and business philosophy are perfectly aligned with our business vision and we couldn’t be more pleased to have Clark as part of the Fishman family.” With this acquisition, Fishman will expand from 20 locations to 25 serving the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern part of the U.S. Devon (“D”) Clark, President of Clark, will remain with the merged company as Vice President/Director of Marketing. Closing of the transaction is scheduled for November. |
